Take That - absolutely fantastic last night. Had a great time, and didn't have to stand all the way home on the train. My feet feel like concrete blocks, and I only got up so early because I was expecting some holiday dosh in the post. Which has just arrived so ... hmm... I could go back to bed. Probably not a good idea.
No fact for now except that I love Robbie Williams. And yes, getting to Wembley was quite ok.

It's not fair that Zod can fly. Loving Smallville...
I had a lasagne at the pub the other day. There was no pasta in it. There was no meat in it. There were potatoes though. And aubergines. We got a free dessert out of them though. Didn't really need it, but would have been rude to refuse...
A fact for today hmmm
My Dad once had us trapped inside our holiday caravan at Great Yarmouth, while he ran around the outside with his water pistol. He would have been in seventh heaven, had he lived long enough to know about Super Soakers!
I still don't know why we were so afraid of a little bit of water, but there you go.

i am furnishing myself a toolbox. It is clean now and drying in the sun, then I have a couple of choice items to start it off. Like my hammer. Well, it is mine now. My actual one is around somewhere. The last few days I have drilled, hammered and screwed. Well, you know what I mean. As I use an tool or whatever, I will put it into my box. Eventually I won't need pitons and carabiners to find stuff in the garage when I need it. Until then..
Just laughed out loud at Clark Kent, busy on the phone when a miscreant runs by. He casually takes a can from a bin, throws it, hits the runner on the head and fells him. Love it. Love Clark Kent. Love Superman.
Fact
My Dad used to say I was daft to buy so many superhero (DC) comics whenever we went to the seaside, but he used to nick them and try and read them first. When we were at our caravan, he called the dog Krypto, and my brother-in-law was Aqualad. Well, no running water in those days in caravans, so it had to be fetched from the tap across the way. My brother-in-law's job. Why oh why did I not keep those comics?

Yesterday sucked, pretty much.
Fact for today
My Dad used to work all day, and drive a taxi in the evenings. He would come home for a break, and I would sit in the car, listening for his call sign, which never came. It is only recently I have figured that he would have 'logged out', and that maybe it was just a ruse so he and Mum could have the house to themselves. Who knows?

I have already wasted half of my day off, more if you allow for the fact that I usually finish at 2.30. I have things to do, but my brain is unable to order them into a priority list, or even a choice list, so I am doing nothing. Did I drink that latest cup of tea? Maybe I will go and dead-head the roses. I need to buy myself a suitable shoulder bag for Friday. And maybe a suitcase. Not for Friday - for August holiday.
Family Fact
My dad used to sell newspapers outside Aberdare market hall, and then gave all his money to his Mum. Aahh...

Should be a bit quieter around here for a week - neighbours gone or going away, so no headboard/shrieking cacophony for a while. And I have tomorrow off work, nice. Didn't sleep well at all last night. Got up after a while - twice. First time I changed bedding;second time I made tea and, naturally, went online. Then finished a Kindle book, so it was about 3 before I settled down again. And up at 8. Sigh. Tesco delivering later. Lovely jubbly.
Family Fact:
When my parents were newly married, they lived with my Dad's parents. There was a family dog, Taff, which barked at my Mum so much in the street that she threw all her newly bought potatoes at it to try and shut it up and fend it off. A bit of a dog's dinner really. (Told to me by Mum. I would have loved to have know 'Mad Taff)'
